सूचना महानिदेशक बंशीधर तिवारी की अध्यक्षता में शनिवार को निदेशालय में सूचना विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक आयोजित हुई।
बैठक में महानिदेशक ने कहा कि सरकार की योजनाओं और नीतियों को जनमानस तक पहुंचाने के लिए सूचना विभाग की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है। सरकार एवं जनता के मध्य सेतु का कार्य करना है, जिसमें मीडिया का सबसे अधिक महत्व है। सूचना एवं लोक सम्पर्क विभाग को अपने नाम के अनुरूप सरकार की योजनाओं की सूचना तेज गति से आदान प्रदान करने तथा सरकार और मीडिया का समन्वय बनाते हुए लोक सम्पर्क का कार्य करना होगा।
महानिदेशक ने कहा कि सरकार की योजनाओं के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाये। सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से भी सरकार की जनकल्याणकारी योजनाओं और नीतियों को जनमानस तक पहुंचाया जाये।
Under the chairmanship of Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari, a review meeting of the Information Department was organized in the directorate on Saturday.
In the meeting, the Director General said that the Information Department has an important role in making the schemes and policies of the government accessible to the public. The work of a bridge has to be done between the government and the public, in which the media is of utmost importance. According to its name, the Information and Public Relations Department will have to exchange information about the schemes of the government at a fast pace and make coordination between the government and the media and do the work of public relations.
The Director General said that special attention should be paid into the use of information technology for the promotion of government schemes. The public welfare schemes and policies of the government should also be conveyed to the public through social media.
